Literature, making predictions, "Who do you think Mouse will invite?" pause and continue the predictions for each dinner.  Ask them "Why did Mouse invite Dog?" Explain their thinking.
Writing and story sequencing & retelling. Write the animals on slips of paper or have kids draw the animal and you add the label.  You can organize the animals in order and use these for retelling.

Science, "What do these animals really eat?

Social Emotional, "Why did Mouse bring Dog? How do you think Dog felt when he saw Crocodile?" What are some of the ways they used polite manners to invite others to dinner?

Fine Motor - illustrate and color animals that came

Writing extension - Who would you like to invite to dinner and why? Write down their description of who they would invite, what would they feed them and why?
