Play and indoor game of eye spy

review shapes, colors and language.

Language Arts: Use a paper and write out the words, this gives you a chance to model concepts of print: following left to right, letter and word spacing, etc.  Some examples to make it as simple or more challenging,  "I spy a / an _______." or "I spy with my little eye a/an_________"

Writing and Fine Motor: have them draw out something they spy and you have to guess.  Prompt them to use descriptive language as you write they dictate whats in their picture.  ]

Scissor Skills: use old magazines or our local Leader newspaper, cut out and glue pictures to a large piece of paper to create a picture version of the game, similar to the I Spy books.
